Scott Bowman

Scott Bowman is Chief Operating Officer (COO) and Chief Financial Officer (CFO) for LBMC, PC. He is responsible for LBMC’s financial reporting, tracking, and accounting, risk management, IT (operations, data & security), and administration. Scott also focuses on process improvement projects, strategic initiatives, and business intelligence.

Scott is a strategic advisor in transforming business processes with deep expertise in operational consulting for growing companies efficiently and effectively. He began his career with Arthur Andersen and EY in the audit division before moving to the private sector working with clients largely in healthcare and manufacturing, including as CFO/COO/CEO for Tennessee Extracts LLC (Tennex), and various C-suite positions at Currie Medical Specialties Inc., MedQuist, and 3M. He also brings a wealth of experience from his role as a partner at the private equity group Wheelhouse, LLC, where he provided deal opportunity evaluation, diligence oversight, transaction financing structuring/funding strategies, and portfolio company oversight.

Scott has more than 25 years of experience in a broad range of finance, operations and transactions. His extensive finance experience includes accounting and reporting, mergers and acquisitions, financial operations analysis, treasury management, public company reporting, creditor relations, Sarbanes Oxley and internal controls, budgeting and cost controls, and development of finance and accounting teams. His operations experience includes production management, sourcing, logistics, product development, risk management with an emphasis on integrating financial information to achieve operating results.

Scott received Master of Accountancy and B.S. in Accounting degrees from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. He lives in Franklin, Tennessee with his wife and two daughters.
